Te Aranga Marae established in 1993- originally built to provide Marae facilities for families of Flaxmere.
Te Aranga Marae is considered a Maata Waka -not of hapu origins – a Marae for every one of every culture background and ethnicity. The Marae is well used for many community events such as tangi, community hui etc. We work hard to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hospitality for all guests.
The Te Aranga Marae was set up in Flaxmere in 2000 as an urban Marae for all people, regardless of tribe, race or religion. It is a place steeped in traditional Maori values and customs but remains welcoming and accepting of all the other cultures that exist in this wonderfully diverse community.
